An integral part of the Year 6 learning program is ability to take part in student leadership opportunities.
The Year 6 students participate in duties that relate to four different councils:
- Community Council
- Catholic Identity Council
- Education Council
- Stewardship Council
Some of the duties involve leading school assemblies, organising sport activities, conducting school assemblies, participating in fundraising activities, organising charity collections, environmental projects and supporting younger students.
The focus of these councils is to develop and encourage a sense of responsibility, leadership, social skills and organisation.The Leadership Councils add value to the teaching and learning program in Year 6.
