At Sacred Heart Primary School we celebrate the diversity and achievements of all students and encourage them to discover and perform at their potential in every domain.
Sacred Heart’s STRIVE (Striving to Reach Innovation, Vision and Excellence) is a program designed to provide academic enrichment and extension learning experiences, which are appropriate to the abilities and needs of the identified students at our school.
Sacred Heart offers the STRIVE program to a number of students in Year 3-6. STRIVE students participate in several challenges which can involve public speaking, problem-solving, creativity, and higher-order thinking skills.
Annually senior students deliver presentations at the prestigious ‘Night of the Notables’. These students spend semester one researching and becoming a notable figure who has made a significant contribution to society. The evening showcases the talent, creativity and dedication of the Year 5 and 6 STRIVE students.
Throughout the year, Year 3 and 4 STRIVE students participate in activities such as mathematical problem solving and are provided with opportunities to refine their public speaking skills.
